CEDAR ROOFS
Cedar becomes slippery and treacherous when wet. To work on these roofs safely, cedar needs to be dry. Once they become damp in the early fall, we suspend maintenance work on these roofs until late spring. It is important to have service work on these roofs completed during the warm summer months.
Cedar dries and shrinks as it ages. Cracks and splits, the most frequent cause of leaks on these roofs will continue to develop, immediately adjacent to areas already repaired. This leads one to believe the leak is recurring at its previous location.
