INDIVIDUAL LEVEL
In order to introduce our staff to the concept of global warming, the company purchased a number of copies of "An Inconvenient Truth". Staff members were asked to take it home and view the movie. After all had viewed the film a staff meeting was held to discuss the film and the ideas it generated. In spite of all the recent press most of the staff were quite unaware of the impact of global warming. Questions were asked and concerns raised.
The meeting included an individual Ecological Footprint Survey which measured the individual footprint of each staff member. Surprisingly this also generated a great deal of discussion and resulted in an increased awareness of our impact. We will be administering a follow-up survey annually to determine what changes have resulted.
